We’ll do a quick audit of your personal marketing materials. If you’ve had little traction, often the resume or profile is part of the issue. Shaloo will provide high-level feedback on whether your resume and LinkedIn align with your target and pass the “6-second test” to grab attention. Setting small weekly goals – like X new contacts, Y applications – can keep you accountable and motivated. We’ll figure out a system that suits your schedule.

There are no stupid questions here. Our coaching is tailored to your knowledge level, so we’ll start wherever you are and build from there.
This 90-minute intensive is a great jump-start, but we do offer ongoing support if needed. Some clients choose to have weekly or bi-weekly shorter check-in sessions to stay accountable, troubleshoot new issues, and keep momentum. We can discuss a package for ongoing coaching if you’d like continuous guidance. Our goal is to support you until you land that job, whether it’s through one power session or sustained coaching over a few months.
We don’t directly place clients into jobs or reach out to our contacts to get you interviews (we are not a recruiting firm). However, we empower you to do those things effectively. We might identify people in your network or alumni community that you should talk to, and help craft messages to them. On occasion, if Shaloo happens to know someone hiring in your field, he may make a casual introduction, but that should be seen as a bonus, not an expected part of the service. The focus is on teaching you to fish rather than giving you the fish, so you have skills that last beyond this job search.
Yes, particularly for career changers or the undecided. A large part of the session can be devoted to career clarity – identifying transferable skills, exploring new paths, and figuring out how to market yourself for something you haven’t done before. We’ll create a strategy for breaking into a new industry or role (including how to possibly get relevant experience or knowledge). If you’re really at square one, we might recommend some self-assessment exercises or resources to discover your interests, and we can incorporate those into the coaching as well.
